Description
Different types of solar photovoltaic panels
Solar modules (also known as solar panels) are the primary components of solar power producing systems.

1. Monocrystalline silicon solar cells. The photoelectric conversion efficiency of monocrystalline silicon solar cells is approximately 17%, with the highest being 24%, which is the highest photoelectric conversion efficiency of any type of solar cell.
Monocrystalline silicon is typically packaged with tempered glass and waterproof resin, which is both sturdy and durable.
Single-crystal flexible solar modules: Flexible solar modules are also known as flexible components; the term "flexible" refers to the panel's ability to bend. The bending angle can be 30 degrees.

2. Polycrystalline silicon solar cells. The production process of polycrystalline silicon sun cells is comparable to that of monocrystalline silicon solar cells, but the photoelectric conversion efficiency of polycrystalline silicon solar cells is significantly lower, at around 15%. It has been widely developed because it is less expensive than monocrystalline silicon solar cells, requires less material to manufacture, saves power consumption, and has a low total production cost. In addition, polycrystalline silicon solar cells have a shorter service life than monocrystalline silicon solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon solar cells have a slightly superior performance-to-price ratio.

3. Amorphous silicon solar cells Amorphous silicon solar cells are a new type of thin-film solar cell that appeared in 1976. They are completely different from the production methods of monocrystal silicon and polysilicon solar cells; the process is greatly simplified, silicon material consumption is low, power consumption is low, and their main advantage is that they can generate electricity in low light conditions. However, the fundamental issue with amorphous silicon solar cells is that their photoelectric conversion efficiency is low (approximately 10% at the globally advanced level), they are not stable, and their conversion efficiency diminishes with time.
