Description
Overview

Corn gluten meal is the protein rich by product of corn wet milling, and it is in strong demand as a natural feed ingredient with a high methionine and xanthophyll content that boosts poultry pigmentation and growth. Capturing it cleanly depends on an efficient separation of protein from starch and fibre early in the milling process.

The Corn Gluten Meal Processing Equipment Line begins with steeping and fine grinding of corn, then uses hydrocyclones and disc separators to split the slurry into starch, germ and a protein rich gluten stream. The gluten stream is concentrated, dewatered and dried in a ring dryer to a golden, free flowing meal, while the starch and germ continue to their own downstream processes.

Every separation stage is precisely controlled so that the gluten meal reaches a protein content above 60 percent with low fibre contamination and a consistent, bright colour. The line is built from stainless steel and abrasion resistant materials and cleans down easily, so it integrates smoothly into a large corn processing complex.

Key Features
  • Efficient Protein Separation: Hydrocyclone and disc separator stages isolate the gluten stream with a protein content above 60 percent and minimal fibre carry over.
  • High Value By Product: The recovered gluten meal earns additional revenue and reduces the waste load of the corn wet milling plant.
  • Consistent Colour: Careful drying control protects the natural xanthophyll pigments, keeping the meal a bright, marketable golden colour.
  • Starch And Germ Recovery: The starch and germ streams are left clean for further processing into syrup, starch and corn oil.
  • Durable Construction: Abrasion resistant screens and stainless steel contact parts stand up to the demanding corn slurry environment.
  • Automatic Control: PLC monitoring of density, flow and dryer temperature delivers a stable, repeatable product quality.

Applications

The Corn Gluten Meal Processing Equipment Line is used in corn wet milling plants, starch factories and feed ingredient producers. The finished meal is used as a high protein feed for poultry, pigs and aquaculture, and it also finds use as a natural colour carrier and as a raw material for further protein refining.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

The separation and drying modules are shipped on steel frames with stainless surfaces protected and all openings sealed against dust and moisture. Screens, hydrocyclones and instruments travel in moisture proof cases. Process drawings, utilities data and commissioning support are supplied, and the line carries a twelve month warranty against manufacturing defects.
