Why a Gantry Frame for Large Workpiece Welding

Welding large flat workpieces like building panels, container walls, and industrial enclosures requires a machine frame that can span the entire workpiece while maintaining structural rigidity under electrode force. C-frame and benchtop designs cannot accommodate the dimensions. This Xinwei gantry-type multi-head projection spot welder uses a bridge-frame architecture that positions multiple welding heads across the full width of the workpiece. The gantry moves along the length, executing full-row projection welds in one pass. With 40-200KVA AC resistance power and 1000kg frame mass, it delivers the force and stability needed for heavy-gauge sheet metal assemblies up to 6+6mm.
