Introduction to the Air Pack Assembly

The discharge pulsation dampener is the main component of the discharge end of the drilling mud pump, which is mainly composed of: the shell, the rubber core pressure plate, the pressure gauge, the stop valve and so on. In the first half of the discharge process, the pulsation dampener stores part of the liquid from the excess average displacement of the liquid cylinder, and in the second half of the pulsation dampener, the original stored part of the liquid is discharged to supplement the shortage of the liquid cylinder, so as to keep the liquid pressure and displacement in the discharge line after the pulsation dampener is relatively uniform.

Only nitrogen or air can be filled into the pulsation dampener, and flammable and explosive gases such as oxygen and hydrogen can be strictly filled. The pulsation dampener inflation pressure is 30% of the design pump pressure, the general pressure is 4-6MPa, and the best is 4.5MPa. When the mud pump is working normally, the stop valve of pulsation dampener is closed to protect the pressure gauge.

The discharge pulsation dampener plays an important role in regulating pressure and reducing fluctuation in drilling, so it is very important to maintain the normal operation of the discharge pulsation dampener in drilling production.
