This multi-section drum is integrally fabricated from steel. Its separate segmented rope grooves allow synchronous winding and unwinding of multiple steel wire ropes. Partition baffles isolate each cable group to avoid rope tangling and guarantee independent lifting movements. Equipped with an integrated transmission shaft end, it features stable structure and high load capacity, widely used for multi-channel winches of large cranes and port machinery.

Matters Need to Attention

• Ensure concentricity of the shaft head during installation, tighten fixing bolts diagonally and evenly to prevent eccentric wear of segmented grooves.
• Keep balanced tension of wire ropes in each section; overload on single segment is forbidden to avoid barrel distortion.
• Prevent cross tangling of ropes from different sections, clear debris on partitions regularly to avoid rope jamming and breakage.
• Inspect partitions and rope grooves for cracks or abrasion regularly, stop operation for maintenance once damage occurs.
• Apply anti-corrosion paint regularly for outdoor service to avoid rust weakening structural strength.
