10kW 30kWh Split Phase Residential Energy Storage System for Generator Backup
This split phase residential energy storage system combines a 10kW pure sine wave inverter, 30.72kWh battery reserve, dual MPPT solar charging, generator support and household energy monitoring in one coordinated platform.
It provides approximately 27.6kWh of usable energy at 90% depth of discharge. The larger energy reserve is intended for homes that need to operate several priority circuits through overnight outages or extended periods of unstable utility supply.
The 120/240Vac split phase configuration supports projects using L1, L2 and neutral wiring. Compatible 120V and 240V household circuits can be planned according to the final load distribution and electrical installation design.
The dual-output structure can be used to create a clearer residential backup strategy. Essential circuits remain the first priority, while flexible loads can be managed according to battery state, available solar generation and the selected operating mode.
Lighting, routers, refrigerators, communication devices, security systems and selected home-office equipment can form the primary household load group.
Televisions, selected outlets and other nonessential appliances may be assigned to a secondary load group when sufficient inverter power and stored energy are available.
Pumps, air conditioners, refrigerators and other motor-driven equipment require separate startup-power checks. Their combined running and surge demand must remain within the system limits.

The dual MPPT charger supports two solar inputs rated at up to 22A and 5kW each. Separate photovoltaic strings can be planned within the specified operating-voltage and open-circuit-voltage limits.
For long-duration outage planning, the generator should be selected according to its output voltage, frequency, available charging power and ability to support household loads while the battery is recovering.
The system uses a 120/240Vac split phase architecture. Final circuit compatibility depends on the L1, L2, neutral and protection arrangement completed by the installer.
They can help separate essential backup circuits from flexible loads. The exact output assignment depends on the selected operating mode and household distribution-board design.
The system provides approximately 27.6kWh of usable energy. Overnight suitability depends on the selected circuits, average load power, battery condition and operating settings.
Generator operation is supported. Its voltage, frequency, charging capacity and wiring must be confirmed before commissioning.
Each MPPT input supports up to 22A and 5kW. Both strings must remain within the 90–485Vdc operating range and below the 500Vdc open-circuit-voltage limit.
The site should provide stable floor support, dry protected placement, suitable ventilation, service clearance and cable access for a cabinet weighing approximately 255kg.
This 10kW 30kWh split phase residential energy storage system is suitable for solar installers, distributors and project developers serving larger homes, remote residences and generator-supported backup projects.
Voltertech provides household load assessment, split phase circuit review, solar string matching, generator compatibility checks and residential project quotation support.
