The GIS AC Hipot Test System and Partial Discharge Detector is designed for high-voltage GIS insulation testing across different voltage classes.
The system can be configured according to the customer's GIS rated voltage and required test voltage.
Important: the exact AC test voltage must be determined according to the applicable GIS standard, rated voltage, insulation level and project specification rather than simply selecting the highest voltage class.
“Our GIS is 145kV/245kV/420kV. Which system should we choose?"
The rated voltage alone is not enough.
We normally need:
GIS rated voltage + required test voltage + GIS capacitance + test duration + frequency requirement + applicable standard.
Q: Can you provide different voltage levels?
A: Yes. The test system can be configured for different GIS voltage classes.
Q: Can one system test different GIS voltage levels?
A: Depending on the design, the same system may cover a range of test requirements, but the final configuration should be verified against the maximum voltage, capacitance and testing procedure.
