Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the difference between 3-jaw and 4-jaw welding chuck?
A: 3-jaw is synchronous self-centering type, fast positioning for round and symmetrical workpieces. 4-jaw is single-jaw independent adjustment type, suitable for square, eccentric and irregular workpieces.
Q2: Can 4-jaw chuck clamp round pipes?
A: Yes, it can clamp round workpieces, but manual fine-tuning of each jaw is required to ensure concentricity.
Q3: Will the hard jaws scratch stainless steel workpieces?
A: Standard hard jaws are for ordinary carbon steel. We provide optional soft protective jaws to protect thin-wall and stainless steel surfaces.
Q4: Is the chuck compatible with all brands of positioners?
A: Yes. We can customize flange size and mounting hole spacing to match most mainstream welding positioners.
Q5: Does the chuck support 360° synchronous rotation?
A: All models support full 360° smooth synchronous rotation with positioner turntable without jamming.
Q6: Can you customize large bore and special size?
A: Custom service is available. We support large bore, ultra-thin body, extended jaws and non-standard installation size customization.
