The Juniper PTX12008 is an 8‑slot modular core router delivering 345.6 Tbps non‑blocking throughput in a 22RU chassis — powered by the Express 5 ASIC and Junos OS Evolved. Each line card provides 54 ports of 800GbE (43.2 Tbps) , enabling a total of 432 x 800GbE ports per chassis. Designed for service provider cores, DCI, and AI data center spines, the PTX12008 features full hardware redundancy (power, fans, fabric, control plane), wire‑speed MACsec on every port, and a 1.6T‑ready architecture for long‑term investment protection.
