Product Description
UNS S32615 is an acid-resistant austenitic stainless steel with high silicon content specifically designed for use in concentrated sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄). This high silicon stainless steel plate offers exceptional corrosion resistance across a wide concentration range and at high temperatures. It provides several advantages over other alloys and traditional materials such as cast iron, including longer equipment life, lower maintenance requirements, and ease of fabrication.

Corrosion Resistance
  • High resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion: Excellent performance in environments containing corrosive media such as chloride ions, effectively resisting pitting and crevice corrosion. Suitable for fields with strict corrosion resistance requirements including chemical industry and marine engineering.
  • Good high temperature oxidation resistance: Maintains good oxidation resistance under high temperature environments, suitable for high temperature working conditions such as high temperature furnaces and heat treatment equipment.
Mechanical Properties
  • High strength: Tensile strength approximately 620-830 MPa, yield strength approximately 205 MPa, with high load-bearing capacity suitable for applications with high strength requirements.
  • Good toughness: Elongation approximately 40%, cross-sectional shrinkage approximately 50%, resistant to brittle fracture when subjected to external force or deformation, with good toughness and impact resistance.
  • Moderate hardness: Hardness HB ≤ 187, easy to process and manufacture.
