Grinding Rod 34CrNiMo6 Kiln Support Roller Casting Alloy Steel Round Bar
Alloy Material Grade 34CrNiMo6 DIN1.6582 EN 10083-3 alloy steel bar manufactured according to ASTM standards. This high-strength nickel-molybdenum alloy steel offers excellent comprehensive mechanical properties for demanding industrial applications.
| Grade |
34CrNiMo6 DIN1.6582 |
| Application |
Widely used in fasteners, chains, kitchen and sanitary wares, furniture handles, handrails, electroplating equipment, food processing, electronics, petroleum, construction, and decorative applications with high strength after cold-drawing, anti-stress corrosion, and excellent surface quality. |
| Chemical Composition |
Manufactured according to international standards including ASTM, AISI, JIS, ER, GB |
DIN 34CrNiMo6/1.6582 alloy steel is supplied as forged round bars, square/flat bars, rollers, shafts, and blocks, or as rolled round rods. This high-strength steel is commonly used in engine camshafts and connecting rods, though it has poor processability and is considered a difficult-to-machine material.

Forging Process
- Preheat 1.6582 forged alloy steel carefully
- Raise forging temperature to 1150-1200°C
- Maintain forging temperature above 850°C
Heat Treatment
Hardening & Tempering
- Heat uniformly to 850°C
- Quench in oil
- Heat to 550°C
- Soak for at least 2 hours
- Cool in furnace
After QT, if straightening is necessary, temper and distortion-poor anneal at minimum 625°C.
Annealing
- Heat thoroughly to 800-850°C
- Cool slowly to 550°C
- Complete annealing in air
Normalizing
- Heat until temperature reaches 850°C
- Cool to room temperature in air
