Heat Treatment Processes
Hardening & Tempering
- Heat uniformly to 850°C
- Quench in oil
- Reheat to 550°C and soak for minimum 2 hours
- Cool in furnace

- Cool slowly to 550°C
- Complete annealing in air
Normalizing
- Heat to 850°C
- Cool to room temperature in air
