SUS444 Inox Sheet 444 Stainless Steel Sheet
SUS444 stainless steel sheet, also known as AISI 444 Inox Sheet, is specifically designed for stainless steel water tank applications. This material conforms to EN 1.4521 / AISI 444 standards and represents a dual stabilized ferritic stainless steel containing 2% molybdenum.
Material Overview
Grade 4521 is equivalent to European code 1.4521 and American standard marking ASTM 444. With molybdenum alloying and 18% chromium content, this grade offers excellent corrosion properties comparable to austenitic grade 4401/4404 in various applications. The stabilization using both titanium and niobium ensures a fully stabilized microstructure with improved surface properties and elongation to fracture values up to 30% (A80).
Key Applications
- Food processing equipment
- Brewery and wine making equipment
- Hot-water tanks and heat-exchanger tubing
- Automotive components
- Solar water heaters
- Drinking-water environment pipes

Manufacturing Characteristics
Type 444 provides excellent formability and can be readily deep drawn and spin formed. It features excellent cold-forming capabilities with lower work hardening rate than standard austenitic grades, making it more easily cold formed and machined. The material is non-heat treatable and offers superior resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
