Plate & Sheet Surface Finishes:

Stainless steel plate & sheet have various finishing conditions to suit the application, there are main surface finishes below, which can be obtained by cold rolling or hot rolling producing method. Standard stainless steel sheets and plates are solid and flat with no surface texture.

NO.1 – Hot rolled, annealed, and descaled
2D – Cold rolled, dull finish
2B – The general-purpose, cold rolled, smooth finish
BA – Bright, cold rolled, highly reflective finish
NO.3 – Intermediate polished finish
NO.4 (BRUSHED)– General-purpose ground polished finish produced from 2B finish
NO.8 (MIRRORED) – Highly reflective ‘mirror’ finish produced from 2B finish
Special surfaces have sandblasted; snowflake sand, colored plates, titanium-plated plates, etched plates, oil-throwing hairline plates (HL, NO.4), sandblasted plate, and embossed plates.

Stainless Steel Plate & Sheet Dimension Tolerance:

The dimensional tolerances are grouped by producing method cold rolled or hot rolled, with or without coiling, narrow width below 610 mm or wide width over 610 mm, here main standard tolerances are specified as ASTM A480 specification.

Application Area:

-In the field of industrial furnaces, it is commonly used to manufacture furnace tubes, furnace liners, furnace linings, and other components for heating furnaces and heat treatment furnaces, which can withstand high temperature environments.
-Petrochemical field: In the petrochemical industry, it is used to make equipment such as cracking furnaces, reaction vessels, heat exchangers, pipelines, etc., which can resist high temperature, high pressure, and highly corrosive media.
-In the field of electric power, it is suitable for superheaters, reheaters, steam pipelines, etc. of boilers, and can withstand the erosion and corrosion of high temperature and high pressure steam.
-Other fields: It can also be used to manufacture rotary kilns for cement plants, furnace bodies and grates for incinerators, some components for aircraft engines, and high-temperature processing equipment for the food and beverage industry.
