High Precision Bearing Disc Spring
Ultra-Precision CNC Machined Solution for High-Speed CNC Machine Tool Spindle Bearings
Our High Precision Bearing Preload Disc Spring is manufactured using 5-axis CNC machining centers with 0.001mm positioning accuracy to meet the stringent preload requirements of high-speed CNC machine tool spindle bearings (up to 25,000 RPM).
Product Series & Specifications
Available in grooved (high-speed) and grooveless (heavy-load) series, the precision machining process ensures:
- Annular structure dimensional tolerance of IT3 grade (error <0.005mm)
- Thickness uniformity within ±0.003mm
- Optimized load force distribution with ±2% variance in multi-plate parallel configurations (2-8 discs)
- Consistent load multiplication ratios (3.2-4.5x at 0.5mm displacement)
Materials & Heat Treatment
Constructed from aerospace-grade alloys with proprietary heat treatment:
- 50CrVA (1.05Cr-0.8V-0.25Mo): Quenched at 860°C and tempered at 420°C to achieve HRC 45-50 hardness and 1800MPa tensile strength
- SUS304 (18Cr-8Ni): Solution annealing at 1050°C for enhanced corrosion resistance
Quality Assurance
Each unit undergoes 100% inspection including:
- Dynamic stiffness testing (150-300N/mm)
- 10⁶ cycle fatigue testing (preload decay <5%)
- Dimensional metrology via CMM
Application & Performance
Specifically engineered for angular contact ball bearing assemblies in precision CNC spindles (e.g., BT40/BT50 taper interfaces), this disc spring:
- Reduces spindle runout to ≤2μm
- Improves machining accuracy to ±0.001mm for aluminum alloys
- Enhances thermal stability during prolonged cutting operations
- Operates reliably within -40°C to 120°C temperature range
Design Features
- Grooved design: 4 equally spaced lubrication channels (width 0.8mm, depth 0.5mm) to minimize friction heating at high RPM
- Grooveless version: Shot-peened surfaces (Almen intensity 0.2A) for extended fatigue life
Compatibility
Compatible with major spindle manufacturers including DMG MORI, Haas, and Okuma. The critical preload component for high-performance CNC machining centers.
