GAC...S Spherical Plain Bearings
Bearing rings manufactured from carbon chromium steel, hardened and phosphated with sliding surface treated with MoS₂. Outer ring features groove and lubrication holes, with sliding surface containing two cross lubrication grooves.

What are GAC..S Bearings?
- Type: Spherical plain bearings (rod ends) with steel-on-steel sliding contact surfaces
- Design: Inner ring has convex outside surface; outer ring has concave inside surface. Both made of case-hardened steel
- Sealing: Equipped with PTFE (Teflon) seals to protect against contaminants and retain lubricant

- Series & Size: GAC series denotes specific dimensions. Confirm shaft diameter and housing fit. Check the suffix .S (steel-on-steel)
- Load & Movement: Confirm radial static and dynamic load ratings match your application. For continuous rotation, other bearing types may be better suited
- Lubrication: Most GAC..S bearings come pre-lubricated. Check if re-lubrication is possible (some have grease nipples)
- Misalignment: Verify allowable misalignment angle (typically up to ±5°–10°)
- Operating Conditions: Temperature range usually -30°C to +150°C (short-term higher). Avoid extreme contamination unless adequately sealed
