Installation Instructions
1. Confirm the bus is fully parked, hand‑brake tightened, and the brake system is completely cooled down before installation.
2. Remove the wheel and take out the old worn‑out brake pad wear sensor cable.
3. Install the small sensing tips of new warning cable into the reserved slots of brake pads. Ensure the sensing ends are close to the friction surface of brake pads.
4. Route the cable reasonably, fix the wire harness to avoid contact with rotating brake disc and moving parts.
5. Plug the black waterproof female connector into the vehicle corresponding male plug, lock the connector buckle tightly.
6. Re‑install the wheel, finish assembly, and conduct test run to verify whether the wear alarm function works normally.
Notes
1. Do not stretch or twist the cable violently during installation, to prevent internal conducting wire from breaking in advance.
2. The sensing tips must be installed inside brake‑pad slots; do not expose it outside the friction area. Wrong installation will cause alarm failure.
3. Keep the connector surface clean. Prevent mud, sand and water from entering the connector before plug‑in.
4. Avoid cable being squeezed by brake caliper, suspension parts or wheel hub. Leave proper margin for wire harness for chassis vibration.
5. After long‑term driving, check regularly whether the warning cable is abraded, cracked or fallen off. Replace it once damaged.
6. Only use this sensor for disc‑brake pad wear monitoring. Do not apply it to other irrelevant systems.
7. If the alarm signal appears abnormally, check the cable installation status and connector connection first.
