1550nm Butterfly Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA)
The 1550nm Butterfly Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) product series is designed for optical signal amplification, significantly enhancing output optical power. These amplifiers feature high gain, low power consumption, and minimal polarization dependence. All chips are proprietary, with complete control over the entire manufacturing process.
Package Configuration
This product series is packaged in sealed standard butterfly housings. Custom packaging solutions are also available upon request.
Key Applications
- Distributed fiber optic sensor systems - replacing acousto-optic modulators as modulators/choppers
- Wide-spectrum light sources - including fiber grating demodulator light sources
- Optical communication systems - providing signal amplification at 1550nm wavelengths as an alternative to some EDFA applications
- Wind lidar, space light detection, and space optical communication - combined with narrow linewidth lasers to form MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) laser systems
Technical Specifications
Maximum output power: 15dBm
Note: The hermeticity value is determined for the tube housing package, excluding any residual interference from outside the housing as per test results.
