ASTM A182 F304L Weld Neck Flange Class 300 for Power Plant
What is Weld Neck Flange?
Weld Neck Flange refers to a flange with a conical long neck that is connected to a pipeline by butt welding. This design provides a smooth transition from the flange to the pipeline, effectively dispersing stress, resulting in high connection strength, low deformation, and excellent sealing effect. It is widely used in pipelines with significant temperature or pressure fluctuations, high temperature and high pressure, and low temperature and other harsh working conditions. Due to its excellent reliability, it is also commonly used on critical pipelines that transport expensive, flammable, explosive, or toxic media.
Flange Pressure Rating Systems
There are two main pressure level systems commonly used internationally. One is the American System of Standards (ANSI/ASME) represented by the United States, whose flange standard is ASME B16.5, using "Class" as the pressure unit, divided into six grades from Class 150 to Class 2500. The second is the European system represented by Germany (DIN/EN), which has the standard EN 1092-1 and uses "PN" (nominal pressure) as the unit to represent the maximum pressure (Bar) that can be withstood at room temperature. It is divided into multiple levels such as PN2.5 to PN160.
7 . Pressure class : 150 - 2500lbs; class 150-class 2500
SMLSCO Forged Flange Manufacturing Process
SMLSCO's forged flanges start with high-quality round bar raw materials. After passing the inspection, the raw materials are cut and heated to a specific temperature, and then forged into a dense internal structure and excellent mechanical properties through forging equipment. The forged blank will undergo heat treatment to optimize its performance, and then enter the precision machining stage to complete turning, drilling, and chamfering. Finally, after cleaning, engraving, final inspection, and professional packaging, high-quality finished flanges can be stored and shipped.
Why Choose SMLSCO Flange?
We deeply understand the requirement for timeliness in delivery. In addition to regular size finished product inventory, SMLSCO maintains over 500 tons of various stainless steel forged flange blanks year-round. This strategic inventory enables us to quickly respond to non-standard size or urgent order demands, significantly reducing production cycles. Relying on the production capacity of our own factories and efficient inventory management, we are committed to providing reliable, fast, and cost-effective flange procurement solutions for global distributors and project customers.
