TZS 683:2022 Clause 10.7 Non-Metallic Handles Thermal Insulation Test Apparatus
This equipment complies with the test standard requirements of Clause 10.7 according to TZS 683:2022 and Clause 14.8 according to ES 573:2021.
Testing Procedure
- The utensil shall be filled with water at 23°C + 2°C up to 90% of its nominated capacity, and the lid (if provided) placed in position.
- The water shall be heated using an electric heating coil immersed in the water, so as to reach boiling point within 15 minutes to 20 minutes.
- The temperature of the handle shall be measured not less than 15 minutes after the water starts to boil, by means of thermocouples fixed to points A and B indicated in figure 1.
- The temperature shall be recorded and compared with those specified.
