The Scraper Bottom Discharge Centrifuge is designed for automatic dewatering, cake washing, and bottom discharge of filterable salt crystals produced in corrosive mother liquor environments.
It is suitable for crystallized salts containing high chloride, sulfate, or mixed inorganic salt concentrations where standard material selection may be insufficient. The centrifuge separates mother liquor from the crystal cake, supports controlled washing when required, reduces retained liquid through spin drying, and automatically discharges the dewatered crystals through the bottom outlet.
Peony provides the solid-liquid separation section for corrosive crystal slurry after evaporation, crystallization, or salt recovery.
Crystallizer / Evaporator → Agitated Slurry Buffer Tank → Controlled Feed → Scraper Bottom Discharge Centrifuge → Mother Liquor Recycle / Purge → Optional Cake Washing → Automatic Bottom Discharge → Dryer / Screen / Storage
Peony can provide:
Crystallized salt slurry enters the rotating basket through a controlled feed system.
Corrosive mother liquor passes through the filter medium and is collected through the filtrate outlet.
Salt crystals remain inside the basket while the liquid phase is discharged.
The retained crystals gradually form a stable filter cake on the basket wall.
Compatible wash liquid can be applied to reduce residual mother liquor, soluble impurities, or unwanted salt carryover.
The basket continues rotating to reduce free liquid retained in the crystal cake.
After the programmed batch cycle is completed, the scraper removes the dewatered salt cake from the basket wall and discharges it automatically through the bottom outlet.

Product-contact materials can be selected according to the actual salt liquor chemistry rather than using a standard stainless-steel configuration by default.
The scraper removes the crystal cake automatically, reducing manual handling in corrosive salt processing areas.
Filtration and spin drying reduce retained mother liquor before downstream drying, cooling, or packaging.
A controlled wash step can improve crystal cleanliness and reduce impurity-containing liquor retained between crystals.
The centrifuge is suitable for concentrated salt slurry when the crystals can form a stable, permeable, and mechanically removable cake.
To recommend a suitable corrosive salt crystal separation solution, please provide:
SS316L may be suitable for some salt systems, but it should not be assumed to be suitable for all high-chloride or high-temperature mother liquors. Duplex stainless steel, Super Duplex, or a customized alloy may be required depending on the actual operating conditions.
Yes. It can be configured for sodium chloride crystal dewatering when the slurry forms a stable and filterable cake. Material selection should be based on chloride concentration, temperature, and mother liquor chemistry.
Yes. An optional washing system can be added to reduce residual mother liquor and soluble impurities. The wash liquid, wash volume, and material compatibility should be confirmed during process design.
The filtrate can be recycled to the evaporator or crystallizer, returned to a mother liquor tank, sent to a controlled purge stream, or routed to further salt recovery or wastewater treatment.
Yes. The automatic bottom discharge can be connected to a dryer, cooler, screen, conveyor, storage bin, or packaging line according to the plant layout.
