The Top Discharge Centrifuge is designed for batch recovery, washing, and dewatering of filterable catalyst slurry from chemical reaction, catalyst reuse, regeneration, and product purification processes.
Catalyst slurry may contain catalyst particles, reaction liquor, solvent, fines, dissolved impurities, and residual process liquid. The separation stage must retain the catalyst effectively, reduce liquid carryover, support controlled cake washing when required, and allow the recovered solids to be transferred for reuse, regeneration, metal recovery, or further treatment.
This configuration is suitable for batch processes where catalyst particles can form a stable and filterable cake. Final suitability depends on catalyst particle size, fines content, cake permeability, slurry solids concentration, solvent properties, corrosion conditions, and discharge safety requirements.
Peony provides the batch filtration section between the upstream reactor or slurry tank and downstream catalyst reuse, regeneration, recovery, or treatment equipment.
Reactor / Slurry Tank → Controlled Feed → Top Discharge Centrifuge → Filtrate Collection / Recovery → Optional Cake Washing → Spin Drying → Top Opening → Catalyst Cake Discharge → Reuse / Regeneration / Metal Recovery
Peony can provide:
Catalyst slurry enters the rotating basket through a controlled feed system. The feed rate is adjusted to support even basket loading and stable cake formation.
Reaction liquor, mother liquor, or solvent passes through the filter medium and basket perforations before leaving through the filtrate outlet.
Catalyst particles remain inside the basket while the liquid phase is discharged.
As feeding continues, the retained catalyst particles gradually build up as a filter cake on the inner basket wall.
Compatible wash liquid can be introduced to reduce residual reaction liquor, soluble impurities, or unwanted process residues retained between catalyst particles.
The basket continues rotating to reduce free liquid retained in the catalyst cake before discharge.
After the programmed separation cycle is complete, the centrifuge stops and the top cover is opened.
The dewatered catalyst cake is removed from the basket through the top opening and transferred to a collection bin, sealed container, regeneration system, metal recovery section, or downstream treatment process.

The basket filtration process retains filterable catalyst solids while allowing liquid to pass through the filter medium. This supports controlled recovery of catalyst particles from reaction slurry.
A controlled wash step can reduce residual reaction liquor, soluble impurities, or solvent carryover before the catalyst is reused, regenerated, or transferred for further processing.
Filtration followed by spin drying helps reduce free liquid retained in the catalyst cake before downstream handling.
Filter cloth material and micron rating can be selected according to catalyst particle size, fines content, filtrate clarity target, solvent compatibility, and cleaning method.
The centrifuge can be connected between a reactor, slurry tank, catalyst wash tank, solvent recovery system, regeneration unit, or metal recovery section.

Please provide:
Yes, provided the catalyst particles can form a stable, filterable cake inside the basket. Particle size, fines content, slurry viscosity, and filtration behavior should be reviewed before final selection.
Yes. An optional wash system can reduce residual reaction liquor, solvent, or soluble impurities before final spin drying and discharge.
Yes. The filtrate can be collected for solvent recovery, returned to the reaction process, reused in washing, or routed to further treatment according to the process design.
Yes. Explosion-proof motor and electrical configuration can be provided when required by the solvent, area classification, and plant safety standard.
It may be suitable for recoverable precious-metal catalyst slurry when the solids are filterable and can form a stable cake. Filter media selection, loss control, collection method, and safety requirements should be evaluated carefully.
