Batch Control Expansion Module for Signet 9900 Transmitter

The +GF+ Signet 3‑9900.397​ is a plug-in Batch Module​ (accessory board, Part No. 159 310 163) that converts a Signet 3‑9900‑1P panel-mount transmitter​ (Generation II or later) into a programmable Batch Controller System (9900‑1BC). Key operational parameters include storage for up to 10 batch sizes​ with customizable batch names and individual K‑factors, compatibility with all Signet flow sensors, and screw‑secured card-edge installation into the 9900 chassis alongside the required 3‑9900.393 Relay Module. Its terminal interface exposes Start / Stop (Inhibit) / Resume / Common​ connections for customer-supplied external pushbuttons or keypads.

Where It's Used, Automation Role, and Key Advantages

Its core automation function is precision volume/batch control—starting a flow meter totalizer run, driving a pump or valve via relay, and stopping automatically at the preset volume. Typical uses include chemical dosing batches, tank filling, CIP solution make-up, and reagent delivery​ where overfill prevention and repeatable batch records matter. Advantages are no code rewrite: the 9900's existing flow-input chain (paddlewheel, magmeter, etc.) is retained, while the Batch Module adds deterministic batch logic, external operator controls, and recipe storage.
