Product Description

The K2xx0yHU series High Energy Unidirectional SIDACs are designed for gas ignition applications requiring high current pulse capability, particularly at low repetition rates. These solid-state switches offer voltage activation with peak voltage levels ranging from 190 to 260 Volts. They are available in both DO-15 leaded and DO-214AA surface mount packages. The SIDAC functions as a silicon bilateral voltage-triggered Thyristor switch, transitioning to a low on-state voltage through a negative resistance region. Conduction persists until the current is interrupted or falls below the device's minimum holding current. Key advantages include AC circuit orientation, a triggering voltage range of 190-260V, 280A pulse current capability, and RoHS compliance. Applications include high voltage power supplies, natural gas igniters, and Xenon flash ignition.
