Application

This thickness tester is specifically used to measure the thickness of geosynthetics and related products under different pressures and specified time intervals, providing accurate and reliable data for quality control and compliance testing.

Test Method

Test specimens are collected from various locations across the full width of the sample geotextile. The specimens are placed on a flat planar surface, and a circular presser foot is lowered onto the geotextile for a predetermined time. The nominal thickness of each geotextile is recorded, and the results are averaged to determine the mean thickness under the prescribed pressure.
