High-Performance Polyurethane Potting Compound for Magnetic Components
Product Description
BZ-6800-8-2-K is a two-component polyurethane potting compound specifically engineered for sealing, insulating, and protecting small transformers, current transformers, inductors, and other magnetic coil assemblies. With exceptional fluidity and deep penetration capabilities, it ensures full encapsulation of intricate components, providing robust defense against moisture, dust, and mechanical stress. Compliant with RoHS and REACH regulations, this halogen-free formula delivers reliable performance across -40℃ to 120℃, making it ideal for both industrial and consumer electronics applications requiring stable electrical insulation and thermal management.
Key Product Features
- Optimized for Magnetic Component Protection
Boasts high thermal conductivity (≥0.4 W/m·k) and low dielectric loss, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing heat buildup in transformers and inductors. Its high surface/volume resistivity (≥1.0×10¹⁴ Ω/sq and Ω·cm) ensures superior electrical insulation, preventing short circuits and extending component lifespan.
- Wide Temperature Stability
Operates reliably from -40℃ to 120℃, withstanding extreme cold in outdoor installations and continuous high heat in industrial environments. Maintains consistent mechanical strength and dielectric properties across temperature fluctuations, ensuring long-term performance stability.
- Robust Mechanical & Environmental Resistance
Exhibits excellent adhesion to copper, aluminum, and PCB substrates, with a tensile strength of ≥4 MPa and elongation at break of ≥40%, providing resistance to vibration and mechanical shock. Low water absorption (≤0.5%) and HB-V2 flame retardancy further enhance durability in harsh operating conditions.
- Efficient Processing & Curing
Features a user-friendly 1:4 weight mix ratio (A:B) that simplifies measurement for both manual and automated systems. Offers a generous 32±6 minute pot life at 25℃, with fast room-temperature curing (surface dry in 2-3.5 hours, full cure in 3-5 hours). For high-volume production, accelerated curing at 60℃ reduces total cure time to just 1 hour.
- Global Regulatory Compliance
Fully compliant with RoHS and REACH directives, with a halogen-free formulation that meets international electronics manufacturing standards. Supports seamless integration into global supply chains and reduces environmental impact.

Product Applications
- Small Power Transformers: Provides electrical insulation and heat dissipation for transformers in consumer electronics, industrial control panels, and renewable energy systems.
- Current Transformers: Protects precision current-sensing components in smart meters, circuit breakers, and power distribution networks from environmental contaminants.
- Inductors & Chokes: Enhances performance of power inductors, RF inductors, and EMI chokes by reducing vibration-induced noise and improving thermal management.
- Custom Magnetic Assemblies: Seals and insulates specialized magnetic components for automotive electronics, aerospace systems, and medical devices, ensuring reliability in critical applications.
Directions for Use
- Pre-potting Preparation: Calibrate scales, prepare potting tools, cleaning tools, check machine settings, check vacuum pump force, etc.
- Product Pre-treatment: Place product on a level surface or fixture. Remove dust, clean, degrease, and dry if necessary.
- Accurate Proportioning: Manual operation requires precise mixing according to the specified ratio and recording. Machine potting requires calibrated ratios and first-article confirmation is recommended.
- Mixing & Stirring: Manual operation requires thorough stirring or using electric stirrers to ensure homogeneous mixing. Machine potting requires sufficient stirring speed, adjust as needed.
- Uniform Potting: Manual operation should be done in small, multiple batches to ensure uniformity. Machine potting should follow the programmed path for quantitative dispensing.
- Inspection or Secondary Potting: After potting, visually inspect as needed. Perform touch-up, bubble removal, or secondary potting if required.
- Curing: Allow the potted and inspected products to cure at room temperature or with heat assistance (recommended 60°C if needed), according to product and process requirements.
- Final Product Confirmation: Perform visual inspection and performance testing as required by the customer.
Packing & Shipping & Storage
