Our PPS FR Boards are flame-retardant panels, made from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) with the addition of flame-retardant components. It maintains functionality under extreme conditions, including high temperature, flame and corrosion, minimizing accident risks. Compared with traditional flame-retardant boards, our products are lighter, reducing overall equipment weight.
PPS sheets (polyphenylene sulfide sheets) possess excellent wear resistance, which is closely related to their unique molecular structure and material properties. Their molecular chains are formed by alternating benzene rings and sulfur atoms, with a dense structure and strong rigidity, resulting in high surface hardness of the material. When subjected to external forces such as friction and scratching, they are not prone to plastic deformation or surface damage. At the same time, PPS sheets have good self-lubricating properties and a low friction coefficient. When in contact with other objects and having relative movement, they can effectively reduce the frictional resistance between the contact surfaces, thereby reducing the degree of wear. Even in long-term and high-frequency friction environments, their wear amount can remain at a low level, and they can maintain structural stability and performance for a long time.
Thanks to their excellent wear resistance, PPS sheets have a wide range of applications. In the field of mechanical manufacturing, they are often used to make wear-prone components such as bearing cages, gears, and sliders, which can withstand continuous friction during mechanical operation and extend the service life of equipment. In the automotive industry, they can be used to manufacture wear-resistant gaskets and clutch plates inside the engine, adapting to the high-frequency friction environment when the car is running. In terms of textile machinery, they can be made into wear-resistant yarn guides and rollers on textile machines, withstanding long-term friction from yarns. In addition, in conveying equipment in industries such as mining and metallurgy, PPS sheets can be used as wear-resistant liners to resist friction and impact during material conveying, reducing equipment maintenance costs.
