PPS sheets (polyphenylene sulfide sheets) are a type of high-performance thermoplastic engineering plastic sheets with excellent comprehensive properties, and they have important applications in many high-end fields. PPS sheets exhibit excellent functions in terms of resistance to acids, alkalis and other chemical products, which makes them irreplaceable in the chemical industry.
In terms of functions, PPS sheets have extremely strong corrosion resistance to various chemical media such as acids, alkalis and salts. Whether it is strong acids like sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, strong alkalis like sodium hydroxide, or even some highly corrosive salt solutions, they are hardly able to cause obvious erosion to PPS sheets. Their molecular structure is stable with high chemical inertness. When in contact with these chemical products, no chemical reactions will occur, and there will be no dissolution, swelling or performance degradation. They can maintain their structural integrity and mechanical properties for a long time. At the same time, this corrosion resistance can remain stable at relatively high temperatures. Even in the high-temperature environments common in chemical production, when facing hot acid and alkali solutions, PPS sheets can stand their ground and play a good anti-corrosion role.
In terms of applications, based on the above excellent functions in resisting acids, alkalis and other chemical products, PPS sheets are widely used in the chemical industry. They are often used to make chemical pipelines and pipe fittings to transport various corrosive acid and alkali media, ensuring the safe and stable transportation of fluids, and avoiding safety accidents and environmental pollution caused by pipeline corrosion and leakage. In terms of reaction kettles, PPS sheets can be used as lining materials for reaction kettles, directly contacting acid, alkali and other chemical raw materials in the reaction process, resisting their corrosion and prolonging the service life of the reaction kettles. In addition, PPS sheets are also often used to make related parts for valves, pumps and other equipment in chemical production, ensuring that these equipment can work normally when in contact with acids, alkalis and other chemical products, and reducing equipment maintenance costs.
