Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) is a premium excellent cold-resistant secondary plasticizer widely recognized for its outstanding stretching efficiency, ultra-low volatility and remarkable long-term thermal stability. Integrated with balanced heat resistance, light stability and reliable electrical insulation performance, it delivers far more comprehensive low-temperature ductility than ordinary cold-resistant plasticizers such as DOA.

Compatible freely with PVC, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose and all kinds of synthetic rubber, it serves as a highly versatile auxiliary additive that is absolutely essential for manufacturing all kinds of high-performance, weather-resistant synthetic materials with strict cold resistance requirements.

Application Guide
  • DOS is an excellent cold resistant plasticizer with high growth efficiency, low volatility, and higher stability. It not only has excellent cold resistance, but also good heat resistance, light resistance, and electrical insulation. It is suitable for various tree esters such as polyvinyl chloride, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, and synthetic rubber.
  • Especially suitable for making cold resistant wire and cable materials, high-end foods, meat preservation films, artificial leather, films, transport belts, boards, sheets, etc. Often used in combination with phthalates.
  • As a low-temperature plasticizer for various synthetic rubbers, it has no effect on the vulcanization of rubber.
