Application Guide

Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) is a high-performance cold-resistant auxiliary plasticizer featuring outstanding elongation efficiency, ultra-low volatility and remarkable long-term stability. Apart from its top-tier low-temperature flexibility, it also delivers reliable heat resistance, UV light stability and premium electrical insulation capacity.


It shows excellent miscibility with various thermoplastic resins, including polyvinyl chloride, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose and all types of synthetic rubber.

This additive is perfectly tailored to produce cold-proof wire and cable insulation, food-grade meat wrapping films, premium artificial leather, plastic membranes, industrial conveyor belts, rigid plastic boards and flexible sheets. It is frequently compounded with phthalate primary plasticizers to optimize the overall performance of finished plastic goods.


When utilized as a low-temperature softening agent for all kinds of synthetic rubber, DOS exerts zero adverse influence on the rubber vulcanization process and maintains the original physical properties of rubber products.
