1. What is GYFTA Duct Fiber Optic Cable?

  • GYFTA Duct Fiber Optic Cable is a light-weight, all-dielectric non-metallic central strength member, aluminum-armored outdoor fiber optic cable.
  • It is designed primarily for underground duct and conduit installations. By combining a non-metallic core with a moisture-resistant aluminum barrier, it provides an optimal balance of structural protection and high electromagnetic compatibility.
  • It is designed for outdoor duct, direct burial, pipeline and aerial installations.
  • The cable capacity from 2fibers upto maximum 288 fibers.

2. GYFTA Duct Fiber Optic Cable Structure:

Layer Component Material Used Technical Function
Optical Fibers Single-mode (G.652D) High-speed data transmission core.
Loose Buffer Tubes PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) filled with thixotropic gel Protects fibers from physical bending stress and blocks microscopic moisture.
Central Strength Member (CSM) FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Non-metallic core that resists pulling tension and prevents shrinkage under varying temperatures.
Core Interstices Filling Water-blocking gel or dry compound materials Fills internal spaces to prevent longitudinal water migration if the outer jacket is breached.
Inner Moisture Armor APL (Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate) tape Corrugated or smooth aluminum tape applied longitudinally to form a highly effective barrier against moisture penetration.
Outer Protection Jacket Black, UV-resistant Polyethylene (PE) High-density or medium-density outer covering that minimizes friction during installation pulls and protects against environmental hazards.
