Core principle

Four-sided separated electrode silicon photodiode. When the light spot falls on any position of the 4×4mm photosensitive surface, the four paths of X1/X2/Y1/Y2 anodes output photocurrent are linearly corresponding to the light spot coordinates; the back-end circuit calculates the ratio of the four currents, and can calculate the precise two-dimensional X and Y coordinates, without the need for a pixel array, continuous position detection, and response speed is extremely fast.
