The Double Roll Coal Crusher is a specialized mechanical equipment engineered for coal crushing applications. 3.Working Principle
Combined Crushing via Compression and Shearing: Materials enter the crushing chamber through the feed inlet and are drawn between the two rollers by the frictional force on the roller surfaces. As the rollers rotate toward each other, the materials are continuously pulverized by a combination of compressive and shearing forces.
Discharge Particle Size Adjustment: The gap between the two rollers is controlled via a wedge-style device or a shim adjustment mechanism to precisely regulate the discharge size. For instance, increasing the number of shims widens the gap for a larger output size, while removing shims reduces the size. Some advanced models are equipped with a hydraulic system to automatically adjust the roller spacing, significantly enhancing adjustment precision and response speed.
Overload Protection Mechanism: To handle non-crushable foreign objects (such as tramp metal), the movable roller can retreat under the action of springs or hydraulic cylinders. Once the object is discharged, the roller automatically resets to its original position, effectively protecting the equipment from mechanical damage.
