Passivated tinplate coil is a rust resistant electrolytic tin coated steel engineered for long ocean freight and storage in humid tropical climates. Chromate passivation plus a DOS oil film give double protection against white rust and wet storage stain.
The material keeps a clean, uniform surface even after months of transit, so it can be unwrapped and processed without surface reconditioning or scrap.

Passivated DOS tinplate is chosen for export orders to tropical and coastal markets where humidity damage to packaging steel is a real risk.
It suits food and beverage cans, aerosol components, closures and general metal packaging that must arrive in perfect surface condition.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceCoils are wrapped with moisture proof kraft paper and VPC or VCI anti rust film, then sealed and banded with galvanised strapping on seaworthy pallets for maximum humidity protection.
White rust tests, coating weight analysis and mill certificates are supplied with every coil so customers can verify protection performance before unpacking.
