Corrosion Resistant Lightweight Wire Mesh Demister Pads with High Separation Efficiency
Product Overview
Corrosion Resistant Lightweight Wire Mesh Demister Pads with High Separation Efficiency are innovative mist eliminating solutions that combine reduced weight with superior droplet removal. Designed for demanding process conditions, these pads effectively capture entrained liquid particles in gas streams while maintaining a lightweight construction that simplifies installation and reduces support structure load.
Working Principle
The pads consist of carefully arranged layers of fine wire mesh. As gas passes through, liquid droplets collide with the mesh surface, coalesce, and drain down under gravity. The optimized mesh density ensures efficient separation of droplets as small as 3 microns, while minimizing re-entrainment even at higher flow rates.

Key Features
Lightweight design: Reduced weight for easier handling and lower vessel support requirements.
High separation efficiency: Removes fine mist and liquid aerosols down to 3 microns.
Corrosion resistance: Available in multiple alloys and polymers to withstand harsh chemicals.
Customizable: Sizes, densities, and shapes tailored to customer specifications.
Low maintenance: Long service life and easy cleaning when fouling occurs.
Main Benefits
Protects compressors, heat exchangers, and downstream equipment from corrosion and fouling.
Reduces product loss by recovering valuable liquid carryover.
Lowers energy costs with optimized pressure drop and stable flow.
Easy to transport, install, and replace thanks to lightweight construction.
Flexible for both new installations and retrofit projects.
Applications
Widely applied in absorption towers, distillation columns, knockout drums, scrubbers, separators, chemical processing units, gas treatment facilities, power plants, and offshore production platforms where reliable liquid-gas separation is critical.
Manufacturing & Quality Control
Wire is precision knitted or woven to specified diameters, layered according to target density, and compacted into pad form. Quality checks include dimensional accuracy, density verification, pressure drop testing, and separation efficiency assessment. Special surface treatments and non-metallic meshes are available for highly corrosive conditions.
Installation & Maintenance
Pads are installed horizontally or vertically within vessels, supported by grids or frames. Correct orientation ensures drainage channels allow coalesced liquid to return to the system. Routine maintenance includes periodic inspection and optional washing. Lightweight construction simplifies lifting, replacement, or repositioning during shutdowns.
Packaging & Supply
Products are shipped in export-ready wooden crates with protective films, desiccants, and anti-corrosion wrapping. Lead time typically ranges from 10 to 20 working days depending on quantity and customization. Technical support for sizing and selection is provided.
