Because TZM alloy has excellent high temperature strength and creep resistance, it is used to make the production of seamless steel pipe threading movement bar tops. Molybdenum alloy top head is made of molybdenum powder raw material with rare earth materials, processed through the process of mixing, forming, shape processing, high temperature sintering, etc. The density of the finished product is ≥9.4g/cm3. It is mainly used for piercing seamless steel pipes such as stainless steel, brazed steel, bearing steel and high temperature alloy steel.

Development History

Steel pipe perforating head, usually installed on a seamless steel pipe perforating machine, is used to perforate and roll round pipe billets, which is one of the most important dies in steel pipe production. 1955 was the first time that the U.S. reported using Mo-1%V, Mo-2%W, Mo-0.5%Ti cast molybdenum alloy for stainless steel seamless pipe perforating test. In 1977, the United States used TZM casting molybdenum alloy for stainless steel thermal perforation test was also successful. From 1967 to 1979, China used Mo-0.5% Ti, TZM alloy or variable form molybdenum alloy to do stainless steel seamless pipe perforation top.
