The typical estimated life of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries is 5-8 years, or 2000 to 5000 charge cycles, depending on specific usage conditions such as depth of discharge, working current rate, working temperature, and whether a balancer is used.
Q3: Can I use a normal solar controller with LiFePO4 batteries?
We always recommend using LiFePO4/Lithium Ion solar controllers. Lead Acid solar controllers provide constant pulse current that might damage the PCB over time, compromising battery protection.
