TIF BOCSCH XP-1A Qualitative Leak Detector | Corona Principle
Brand Evolution
The XP-1A originates from TIF, with internal packaging retaining the TIF trademark. In 2010, TIF was acquired by ROBINAIR, a U.S. leader in refrigerant recovery systems, to expand its product line into leak detection, recovery, and identification. In 2014, ROBINAIR became part of BOSCH's automotive aftermarket division, making the XP-1A a BOSCH-branded product. Manufactured by Bosch Automotive Service Solutions (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., it specializes in automotive refrigerant leak detection.
Product Applications
Designed for automotive aftermarket use, the XP-1A leverages corona discharge technology to detect refrigerant leaks in vehicle air conditioning systems. Its compact 22.9×6.5×6.5cm form factor and 35.5cm probe rod enable access to tight spaces, while 30-hour battery life ensures prolonged field use. The detector meets industry standards for R12, R22, and R134a with 14g/year sensitivity, suitable for routine maintenance and diagnostics.
