The AP 257/22 KNX weather center is a compact GPS-based station for automatic sun tracking and shading control across up to eight facade sectors.
Key Features & Functions
- Receives a GPS time signal to determine exact date and time
- Installation location can be entered by selecting country and city or by stating GPS coordinates
- Transmits date, time, and all measured values over the KNX bus, enabling coordinated building automation
- Monitors measured values against up to three limit values each
- Sunlight tracking control and shadow outline tracking
- Central command for sun protection activation at the start and end of sunshine
- Provides four AND operations, four OR operations, and eight OR operations for alarm and fault indications
- Includes a blocking function for window cleaning

- Heated wind speed sensor: measures air movement without moving parts, covering 0 to 35 m/s
- Brightness sensor: covers 0 to 150 klx
- Dusk detection: covers 0 to 1000 lx
- Outdoor temperature sensor: covers -35 to +80 °C
