Product Description
SPL501 is a high optical purity PLA resin (L-lactide >99%, melting point >170°C) designed for producing high-performance 3D printing filaments.
Raw material appearance: Pellets are off-white/creamy (normal for PLA). Final filament can be semi-transparent or custom-colored.
Key properties: High mechanical strength, rigidity, and heat deflection resistance (HDT ~60-70°C after annealing).
Applications: Functional prototypes, jigs & fixtures, automotive parts, electronic housings, and tools requiring better heat resistance than standard PLA.
Processing: Compatible with standard single-screw extrusion for filament making. Dry pellets at 80°C for 4-6h before extrusion (moisture <50ppm).
Printing recommendations: Nozzle temp 210-230°C, bed temp 50-70°C, cooling fan as needed. Annealing improves heat resistance.
