Product Introduction

Our Bentonite Waterproof Blanket (BWB) is a high-performance waterproof material composed of natural sodium bentonite particles, non-woven geotextile, and woven geotextile. The bentonite, as the core waterproof component, is evenly distributed between the two layers of geotextiles through a special compounding process, forming a dense and impermeable barrier when encountering water. This product is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and has excellent durability, making it an ideal choice for various waterproofing projects.

Product Features

  • Superior water swelling performance: Natural sodium bentonite can expand 15-20 times its original volume when in contact with water, quickly forming an impermeable layer with low permeability coefficient.
  • Excellent durability: Resistant to aging, corrosion, and chemical erosion (except for strong acids and alkalis), ensuring long-term waterproof effect in harsh environments.
  • Good adaptability: Can adapt to slight deformation of the base surface, effectively preventing waterproof layer damage caused by ground settlement.

Application Fields

Widely used in landfill anti-seepage, sewage treatment plant pools, artificial lakes, reservoirs, channels, subway tunnels, basement waterproofing, and roof greening waterproofing projects. It is especially suitable for projects with high environmental protection requirements and complex geological conditions.

Product Installation

  1. Base surface preparation: Ensure the base surface is flat, clean, and free of sharp objects (such as stones, branches, etc.). Level the uneven areas and compact the base surface.
  2. Unfolding and laying: Lay the BWB in the direction of water flow, with an overlap width of 15-20cm between adjacent blankets. The overlap area should be evenly sprinkled with bentonite powder to ensure tight connection.
  3. Fixing: Use fixing nails to fix the BWB on the base surface at intervals of 1-1.5m, and ensure the blanket is flat without wrinkles.
  4. Backfilling: After the laying is completed, backfill the surface with fine soil or sand in time, and the backfilling thickness should not be less than 30cm. Avoid heavy machinery directly rolling on the BWB during backfilling.
