1. Relieve fuel system pressure - Follow manufacturer procedure to depressurize the fuel system
2. Loe the water separator - Identify the fuel water separator assembly in the fuel line
3. Clean the area - Thoroughly clean the separator and surrounding area to prevent contamination
4. Disconnect fuel lines - Carefully disconnect the fuel inlet and outlet lines from the separator
5. Remove the old separator - Unbolt and remove the old filter assembly from its mounting bracket
6. Inspect fuel lines - Check fuel lines for cracks, damage, or blockage; replace if necessary
7. Clean mounting surface - Clean the mounting bracket and surrounding area
