Refractory fire bricks are specialized products manufactured through a precise process involving chamotte or bauxite blended with binding clay. These bricks feature alumina (Al₂O₃) content ranging from 30% to 90%, directly influencing their refractoriness—the ability to withstand high temperatures without softening or deforming—typically between 1580°C and 1850°C.

The manufacturing includes crushing, batching, mixing, high-pressure molding, drying, and high-temperature sintering in tunnel or shuttle kilns, resulting in superior structural integrity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability. They are classified as medium to high-temperature materials with three grades based on alumina content: low-alumina (30%-48%), medium-alumina (48%-60%), and high-alumina (60%-90%).
