Thermal Camera Core with Uncooled 640x512/8μm Wafer Level Package Infrared Detector
Product Overview
The iTL608 is a high-performance VOx uncooled LWIR thermal camera core with industry-leading integration and stability. Dimensionally, it features a compact size of 13 * 13 * 18.3 mm and a total weight of 6.7 ±1.5 g (6mm lens included), minimizing payload and space occupation for portable systems. In terms of imaging performance, it utilizes an 8μm ultra-fine pixel sensor with 640 * 512 native resolution and achieves an ultra-low NETD of ≤30mK, providing outstanding temperature discrimination capability for ambient target detection in the 8-14μm LWIR spectrum. Integrated NUC non-uniformity correction and 3DNR 3D noise reduction algorithms effectively optimize image flatness and suppress image artifacts. For development compatibility, it offers optional optical lenses, multiple video output interfaces (MIPI/USB 2.0/BT.656), RAW/YUV dual data output, and serial/I2C control protocols, facilitating efficient customization and integration for industrial and commercial thermal imaging systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is infrared thermal imaging?
In nature, all objects whose temperature is higher than absolute zero (- 273 ℃) can radiate infrared rays. By using the infrared camera detector to measure the infrared radiation temperature difference between the target itself and the background, you can get different infrared images, which are also called thermal images.
How do infrared detectors work?
Infrared radiation that emitted by target enters the sensing range of the thermal detector, then the infrared detector converts the radiation signal of different intensity into the corresponding electrical signal, and then through amplification and video processing, forms the infrared image that can be observed by the naked eyes.
What are the advantages of cooled infrared detectors?
The cooled infrared focal plane detector operates at a low temperature which is provided by a detector dewar cooler (ddc). It has high sensitivity and can distinguish more subtle temperature difference than uncooled infrared detector. It can detect, identify and recognize objects at a very long range which is more than ten kilometers away. The structure of cooled detector is very complex which results in a relatively high cost than uncooled detector.
