Can I use Keyence IV without a PC?
Yes. IV2/3/4 have built-in camera, light, and controller. Set up via the amplifier touchscreen—no PC needed.
My target moves around; will it still detect OK/NG?
Yes. It uses area-based imaging and AI to tolerate position shifts. Just register 1-2 OK samples.
How long does setup take for a new part?
15-60 seconds. AI auto-tunes lighting and detection; no manual parameter tuning.
It's giving wrong OK/NG in bright sunlight. What to do?
Use AI mode (IV3/IV4) to suppress ambient light. Add a simple shade if needed.
Can I connect it to a PLC?
Yes. Standard I/O (NPN/PNP) and Ethernet (TCP/IP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP) are supported.
What's the max field of view?

Can it read text/barcodes?

Why is the image blurry?
Check focus, distance, and lens smudge. Clean the lens and re-run auto-focus.
