III. High-Hardness Water Softening
High hardness purified water" typically refers to water that contains a high concentration of minerals or metal ions, particularly calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions. The higher the hardness of the water, the more dissolved minerals it contains. Hard water often leads to scale formation, which can affect pipes and equipment. However, through secondary reverse osmosis, the concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions can be reduced to below 0.1 mg/L. This type of water is commonly used for boiler make-up water or floor heating circulation systems.
