Product Overview for Salt Bath Furnace

Salt bath furnace refers to the industrial furnace which uses molten salt liquid as the heating medium and immerges the workpiece in the salt liquid to heat. Salt bath furnace refers to the industrial furnace that uses molten salt solution as the heating medium and immerges the workpiece in the salt solution for heating (it can be heated in the salt solution through metal electrodes). According to the working temperature of the furnace, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, barium chloride, sodium cyanide, potassium cyanide, sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate and other salts are usually selected as heating media. The heating speed of the salt bath furnace is fast and the temperature is uniform.

Salt bath furnace can be used for quenching, annealing, tempering, cyaniding, aging and other heat treatment heating of carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, die steel and aluminum alloy, and can also be used for less oxidation heating of steel precision forging

Safety Measures

• Built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters for easy monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Overheat protection shuts down the furnace if temperature is outside of acceptable range (refer to controller's manual) or when the thermocouple is broken or malfunctions
• Power failure protection resumes furnace operation right after the point of failure when power is reestablished
• Microprocessor based self-tuning PID control provides optimum thermal process with minimal overshoot

• However, toxic or explosive gases that may generate from the sample during the heating are not recommended for use with this programmable muffle furnace without necessary safety controls and supervision.
• Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with alumina coating
