Smartwatch Quality Control Process (English Version)

1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

  • Inspect all incoming materials (components, casings, batteries, screens, etc.) for specifications and quality

  • Perform sampling inspections according to the AQL standard

  • Isolate, return, and record non-conforming items

2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

  • Set inspection points in key processes (SMT, assembly, testing)

  • Check items such as soldering quality, assembly alignment, and functionality

  • Perform patrol inspections every hour and document. Stop the line and analyze issues when defects occur

3. Final Quality Control (FQC)

  • Inspect appearance (scratches, dirt, misalignment, etc.)

  • Perform full functionality tests (touchscreen, display, connectivity, sensors, audio, calls, 4G, GPS, etc.)

  • Test battery performance, signal strength, and thermal performance

  • Reject non-conforming products before they reach the packaging process4. Outgoing Quality Control (OQC)

4. Outgoing Quality Control (OQC)

  • Inspect packing integrity, labeling, serial number, and accessories per order

  • Check the packing quantity and packaging firmness

  • Perform a final inspection of some units’ functions before shipping

  • Issue an outgoing inspection report

5. Customer Complaints & Continuous Improvement (CAPA)

  • Collect after-sales feedback and customer complaints

  • Conduct 8D meetings for major quality issues

  • Implement corrective/preventive actions and update inspection standards or procedures

  • Track improvements and close the loop
