Description

Medical Plasma System GL2000 Adenoidectomy Coblation Console

The Golead Medical Plasma System GL2000 in adenoidectomy configuration is a low-temperature bipolar plasma console in a 10 kg benchtop housing for installation on a fixed shelf or an optional equipment trolley in the ENT theatre. It drives angled coblation wands for adenoidectomy under nasal endoscopy, ablating adenoid tissue in saline at roughly 40-70 C while sealing the adenoid bed, which matters in the narrow paediatric nasopharynx where bleeding is difficult to control.

Key Features

  • Adenoidectomy coblation workflow — configured for angled coblation wands used through the nasal cavity under endoscopic visualisation, from tissue ablation to adenoid bed haemostasis.
  • Low-temperature plasma output — working tip stays in the 40-70 C range, protecting the choanae, Eustachian cushions and posterior nasal structures.
  • Simultaneous ablation and haemostasis — the adenoid bed is sealed during the pass, reducing bleeding in the paediatric nasopharynx and shortening the procedure.
  • Saline bipolar operation — plasma ignites in the irrigation medium, so no argon supply and no patient return pad are required.
  • 1-9 ablation and 1-6 coagulation levels — low levels for the choanal margin, higher levels for bulky adenoid tissue and bed haemostasis.
  • Knob and button control panel — rotary encoder for level, membrane keys for mode, LED digital display for power and impedance. No touch screen, so the panel wipes clean between cases.
  • 3-position preset selector — recalls stored settings for endoscopic adenoid ablation, adenoid bed haemostasis and combined tonsil-adenoid lists.
  • Safety monitoring — wand recognition, impedance tracking, over-current and over-temperature cut-off with diagnostic codes.

Clinical Applications

Adenoidectomy coblation in paediatric patients with adenoid hypertrophy and obstructive sleep disordered breathing, endoscopic adenoid ablation through the nasal cavity, adenoid bed haemostasis, and combined tonsillectomy with adenoidectomy lists in ENT theatres.

Quality Assurance

Built in an ISO 13485 certified facility. Every console passes 72-hour burn-in, output power calibration, temperature rise verification, dielectric strength and leakage current testing before shipment. Delivered with CE declaration of conformity, user manual, foot switch, mains cable and shelf mounting hardware.

FAQ

Can it be used for combined tonsil and adenoid cases? Yes, the third preset is reserved for combined lists so the surgeon can switch between wand types without re-dialling.

Is argon needed? No. Plasma is generated in saline irrigation.

Which wands are used? Angled coblation wands supplied by Golead; wand selection is confirmed before order.

Do you offer OEM branding? Yes, panel branding, language and presets can be customised.
