Description

Medical Plasma System GL2000 Tonsillectomy Coblation Console

The Golead Medical Plasma System GL2000 is a low-temperature bipolar plasma console in a 10 kg benchtop housing, installed on a fixed equipment shelf or an optional equipment trolley in the ENT theatre. It drives disposable coblation wands for tonsillectomy, generating a thin plasma layer in saline at roughly 40-70 C so tonsillar tissue is ablated and dissected with simultaneous haemostasis, without the charring and deep thermal spread of conventional electrosurgery.

Key Features

  • Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy coblation workflow — the console is set up for intracapsular and extracapsular tonsillectomy and for adenoidectomy with disposable coblation wands, covering dissection, ablation and haemostasis in one pass.
  • Low-temperature plasma output — working tip stays in the 40-70 C range, which limits thermal injury to the tonsillar capsule, peritonsillar muscle and surrounding mucosa.
  • Saline bipolar operation — plasma ignites in the irrigation medium, so no argon supply and no patient return pad are required.
  • Dual irrigation channel support — compatible wands with independent inflow and outflow keep the plasma field stable and the field of view clear during long dissections.
  • 1-9 ablation and 1-6 coagulation levels — low levels for capsular dissection, higher levels for vessel sealing at the tonsillar bed.
  • Knob and button control panel — rotary encoder for level, membrane keys for mode, LED digital display for power and impedance. No touch screen, so the panel wipes clean between cases.
  • 3-position preset selector — recalls stored settings for intracapsular tonsillotomy, extracapsular tonsillectomy and tonsillar bed haemostasis.
  • Safety monitoring — wand recognition, impedance tracking, over-current and over-temperature cut-off with diagnostic codes.

Clinical Applications

Tonsillectomy coblation in adult and paediatric patients, including intracapsular tonsillotomy for obstructive sleep apnoea and extracapsular tonsillectomy for recurrent tonsillitis; adenoidectomy coblation with angled wands under nasal endoscopy; and tonsillar or adenoid bed haemostasis in ENT operating theatres.

Quality Assurance

Assembled in an ISO 13485 certified facility. Each medical plasma system passes 48-hour burn-in, output power calibration, temperature rise verification, dielectric strength and leakage current testing before packing. Delivered with CE declaration of conformity, user manual, foot switch, mains cable and shelf mounting hardware.

FAQ

Which wands are used? Golead disposable coblation wands for both tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, matched to the console connector; wand selection is confirmed before order.

Is argon required? No. Plasma is generated in saline irrigation.

Can it be used for both intracapsular and extracapsular techniques? Yes, both techniques are covered by the stored presets.

Do you offer OEM branding? Yes, panel branding, language and presets can be customised.
